Block 26 is located in the Central neighbourhood of the Western district of Krasnodar city, bordering Krasnaya, Dlinnaya, Rashpilevskaya and Budennaya streets.
Since 1842 on this site stood the first city clinical Hospital of Krasnodar. The administration is planning to move the Hospital outside the city borders and rebuild the Block, having maintained the historical Hospital building. The «Mother of God Joy of all Who Sorrow» icon church is located on this site, dating 1837-1842 (an interesting combination of culture and medicine in the style of late classicism. It is protected as a historical and architectural monument).

The main facade of the Block opens up on the Krasnaya street and Theatre Square, this way, all the important buildings of the Block are brought out to the front line and become active elements of the front view. To get the best results, a tunnel would have to be built cutting across Krasnaya St.

In the preliminary plans of this district block restoration, functional integration of multiple buildings needed to be used.

Most of the underground premises of the Block are used as parking. Entrance and exit of the underground parkade are planned to be situated on the side of Rashpilevskaya St., because pedestrian flow is mainly on Krasnaya, Budennaya, and Dlinnaya streets. The highest points of the block constantly change, for example, if the viewer is standing on Krasnaya or Budennaya street, then the highest elevation point corresponds to the one of its adjacent buildings.
If the viewer is on Rashpilevskaya St., the block sides with the dome of the urban market; Dlinnaya St. is not yet built. The view from the Theatre Square has a vertical emphasis given by the business-centre building.
