Future owners of this house are young, active, middle class individuals. They are appealed by modern and dynamic architecture with well-lit, open spaces that let the interior become part of the surrounding environment.
However, this type of approach means designing a larger external wall and roof areas, and window openings. This leads to an increased loss of heat, which was not functional due to the goal of using passive and sustainable design.
The challenge of this project was to meet conflicting requirements. To find a solution to this problem, we developed new units for calculating properties of different materials.
As a result, after a long and uncompromising discourse, it was possible to create a comfortable and functional house with dynamic architecture, large glazing area, and excellent energy efficiency.
